DE: Mein neuster Track fasziniert auf eine ganz spezielle Art. Mit der Stimme ziemlich wild herum experimentiert. Pitch shifting, Noise für speziell die Höhen zu betonen hinzugefügt und so weiter bis hin zum Synth.

EN: My latest track fascinates in its own way. Played around with my voice. Used pitch shifting, noise to highlight espacially the highs of the voice and so on. Even the synth patch I created sounds really nice.
DE: Nach einer etwas längeren Pause, musikalisch gesehen, bin ich wieder mit einem neuen Song zurück. Mein neuster Track heisst “Cluster”. Wie der Name schon sagt, hab ich mich dort von der IT leiten lassen. Cluster steht im Sinne des ganzen Tracks, hinter dem sich aber jene Modulationen, Automationen, Effekte und Ideen verbergen, wie hinter dem Cluster die Knoten, Konfigurationen usw. stehen. Als Haupt Synthesizer VST hab ich hier den impOSCar 2 eingesetzt. Dieser VST Synth macht einfach Spass und ich kann ihn nur empfehlen.
Der Track wurde nicht über ein Label veröffentlicht, sondern wird über Soundcloud angeboten (frei zum Download).

EN: After a long break, musically speaking, I am back with a new song. My latest track is called “cluster”. As the name suggests, I got some inspirations from the IT (information technology). Cluster stands in a translated way for the whole track, which contains many of those hidden edits like modulations, automations, effects and ideas, such as behind the cluster are nodes, configurations, etc. The main VST synths I have used is the impOSCar 2. This VST synth is pure fun and I can only recommend it.
The track is not being released on a certain label, but is avaiable on Soundcloud (free to everyone).

DE: Inspieriert von den tiefen Frequenzen, House und Hihats, entstand dieser Track “Focus The Bass”. Ich habe mich über die letzten Wochen intensiver mit den Tiefen beschäftigt, also mit den Frequenzen unter 120Hz, welche einem Song aus meiner Sicht ziemlich viel Spannung verleihen können und den zusätzlichen Druck geben, damit es auch saftiger wirkt.
Hört also rein und hinterlasst mir gerne eure Kommentare.
EN: Inspired of deep frequencies, House and hihats, this new track “Focus The Bass” came out. In the last few weeks I took some more time to really take care of the deeper frequencies, all the stuff below 120Hz, which in my opinion brings a lot of thrill into a song and gives the necessary punch into a song, that kind of juiciness.

DE: Schaut mal her oder hört mal her, ich war mal wieder kreativ und mehr. Dieses mal ist es für mich noch ein wenig spezieller. Ich habe mich die vergangenen Wochen intensiver mit dem Thema Mastering beschäftigt. Ja ich weiss, ein guter Mastering Engineer wird man erst nach Jahren, trotzdem muss man ja mal irgendwo anfangen.
Ich habe mir das Tool Ozone von Izotope zugelegt um meine Ideen umzusetzen. Was ich am Ganzen Prozess für meinen Teil sehr spannend finde, man lernt viel besser mit der Produktion von Musik umzugehen. Wenn man schlussendlich weiss, was man beim Mastering noch raus holen kann, ist das meines Erachtens Gold wert. Viele haben evtl. schon gehört, mit Mastering kann man einen Track nicht retten, sondern nur verbessern/verfeinern. Und auch beim Mastering gilt, so hab ich gelernt, weniger hilft meistens mehr. Man sollte nicht einfach mal einen Compressor bei -30dB einsetzen lassen bei einer Ratio von 10:1, sondern schlicht und dezent. Lieber sollte man sich sonst nochmals der Rohfassung des Songs annehmen und ein wenig mehr ausarbeiten.
Was ich Mastering technisch den Wahnsinn finde, ist das mid/side Mastering von Effekten. Ehrlich zugegeben, ich kannte das vorhin nicht. Nachdem ich es nun immer mehr verwendet habe, kann ich nur sagen, es wirkt sich grossartig aus, wenn du nur die Sides von EQ oder den Side Reverb usw. bearbeiten kannst. Wer es sich also am Überlegen ist, sich dem Thema mal anzunehmen, packt es an. Man kann doch recht schnell mal nette Resultate erreichen. Klar, braucht es noch viel mehr um wirklich diesen wahnsinns Feinschliff hinzubekommen wie die Profis, aber wie man so schön sagt, aller Anfang ist schwer aber es kann aber nur nach oben gehen wenn man bei Null anfängt.
Jedenfalls nichts desto trotz, sunny dirt ist mein letzt entstandener Track, bei welchem ich das Mastering selber übernommen habe. Nach meinem Gutdünken ist es recht gut geworden. Wem der Track gefällt, kann ihn gratis herunterladen via Soundcloud und natürlich auch kommentieren.
EN: Look over here or spread your ears again, once again, I was creative and more. This time it’s a little more special for me. The past few weeks I was working intensively with the topic “Mastering” (Premastering). Yes I know, it takes years to become a good mastering engineer, but you simply have to start somewhere.
I bought the tool Ozone by Izotope to realise my ideas. What I personally liked about the whole process, is that you learn a lot better to deal with the production itself. When you finally know what you still can get out of the mastering process, it’s worth gold. Many may have heard, with mastering a track can not be rescued but improved or refined. Another wisdom might be, reduce to max or less is more. You shouldn’t turn on a compressor at a threshold of -30dB with a ratio of 10:1. You rather work on the rough material to make it sound better and more expressional.
What I think, a technical madness for sure is the whole mid / side effects of mastering. Honestly, I didn’t know before. After using it more and more, I can only say, it affects great if you just change the sides of the EQ or the sides with reverb, etc.. So whoever is feeling lucky to take up on this topic, go on then. You can quite quickly get nice results sometimes. Sure, it takes much longer to really fine-tune it like the pros, but as they say, every beginning is difficult but it can only go up if you start at zero.
Nevertheless, sunny dirt is my latest produced track, in which I took on the mastering myself. After my discretion, it has become quite well. Who likes the track, can download it for free via SoundCloud and can also for free leave his comments.
